The Escuela Universitaria de Arquitectura Técnica de Sevilla has been offering since 2003-2004 a term-long optional third year course titled «Archaeology and Construction», the aim of which is to inform future quantity surveyors of the importance of archaeological analysis in understanding historical buildings. The archaeology of emergencies, risk charts, the economics of the intervention and excavation safety form part of a subject that is still open but currently well accepted by future heritage agents.
