The torre banderiza is one of the most relevant elements of Basque building heritage., Representative examples of this type of architecture can be found throughout the autonomous community, characteristic of a turbulent period which lasted a little longer than the low medieval crisis (14th to 16th centuries). This study sets out to formulate a systemic, interpretative and integrating proposal, based on stratigraphic stonework analysis, to show the specific relevance of this construction as an element of administering resources in the territory. But above all the work attempts to understand historical-archaeological research.
